Communication is an essential component of providing quality care. According to the Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of Civil Rights, providers are expected to take “reasonable steps” to ensure access for patients with limited English proficiency (LEP).

Stratus Audio/Video is our vendor solution for patients with LEP. Utilizing their services will ensure accurate communication between the patient and caregiver.

Here’s how to use their services with a phone or tablet.

Audio: We have a dedicated phone line for the Avamere Family of Companies. Use the following number when contacting an audio translator: 1-833-219-9741.

Be prepared to answer the following questions for the operator:

  • Caller’s first name
  • Caller’s last name
  • Community/building name
  • Location (city and state)

Video: Please see the attached instructions, downloadable below.

The admissions and activities tablets should have this communication app, and the smartphone for PCC skin and wounds should have the app as well.
