Your Role in DEI

It’s without a doubt, we all play a critical role in the progression and growth of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in our workplace. It doesn’t matter your location, title, or level in our organization — any effort you make to learn something new, build an open and inclusive environment on your team, or even fight for equality in your local community and building — it can all make a difference. As your leader in this organization, I’m committed to doing my part to champion DEI in a way that’s reflective of your needs. But I can’t and won’t do it alone. I need your help to create the change we all want to see.

Here are ways you can get involved:

Become a DEI champion. We are seeking DEI champions within each SNF building that will spread the word on our DEI efforts and programs, while encouraging others to get involved.

If you are interested in becoming a DEI champion, fill out Avamere’s online Be Heard form. Be sure to use the “thoughts on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” section to share your interest in being a DEI champion. We will follow up with next steps.

Join an Employee Resource Group. Find out more about this exciting new program by the People Operations Pillar by clicking here or watching the video below. We’re currently seeking people to lead the first ERGs. Click here to find out more about these groups and how to participate.

Share your voice. Everyone’s journey comes with a story. We want to hear from you. Feel free to share a story, express your thoughts, or ask a question through our Be Heard form. We’re always looking for great stories to share on our blog!
