The People and Culture Council met on August 18.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Andrew Loomis provided an update on recruitment for the vice president of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; 10 candidates are being considered and interviews are being scheduled.
• Zanele provided guidance on a new process to maintain DEI pillar projects, proposals, and updates; each pillar leader will continue to meet with her prior to committee and council meetings.
• The leader from each pillar gave an update on what has been accomplished in their pillar thus far, shared the status on current projects, and an outlook on upcoming goals – including the resources needed to accomplish them.
• MarCom continues to support DEI initiatives and cultural observances through campaigns, which has included community partnerships, posters in buildings, educational media series, and 9 DEI-driven podcast episodes.

• The People Operations Pillar hosted the all-company Employee Resource Group (ERG) kickoff seminar in July and distributed interest-forms for those who want to join or lead one.
• The People Operations Pillar hosted the all-company Employee Resource Group (ERG) kickoff seminar in July and distributed interest-forms for those who want to join or lead one. Up next is the ERG training with HR and interested leaders.
• The Education Pillar has implemented DEI training in employee onboarding and is sourcing speakers to fit chosen categories for employee learning.
• The Talent Development Pillar continues to evaluate leadership and development programs and is working on creating a new mentorship program addressing the specific needs of diverse employees.
