The people of Avamere do extraordinary things every day to enhance the quality of life for the residents and patients we serve across our complex organization. Human resources and talent acquisition often work behind the scenes to ensure that our frontline employees and leaders focus on our core mission. Our quiet, unobserved effort has been particularly important during the past two years. Like most organizations, Avamere has worked hard to address the challenges of the pandemic, the shifting market conditions, and continuous business challenges. Our organization has been flexible, reshaping and realigning our organization to better meet and overcome the obstacles we faced.

Likewise, our HR/TA team has shifted, stretched, and reshaped to meet our organization’s needs. I assumed the role of Vice President of Human Resources in July 2021. The team I have the pleasure of leading focuses on HR operations and talent acquisition for the home office.

HR Operations:

Our Director of HR Operations and Total Rewards, Stephanie Antoni, leads our operations team, including Kathy Putnam-Adams, Ryann Chambers, Melissa Freece, Rebecca Barrett, Shayna O’Doran, and our newest team member, Jemma Wagoner. Kathy, Ryann, and Rebecca maintain the HR Information System and the Applicant Tracking System administration.

Melissa and Jemma support all the benefits and retirement programs within Avamere. And Shayna supports our leave administration, leadership development, and general HR efforts across our organization.

Talent Acquisition:

Rana Scotland, our Talent Acquisition Manager, leads our home office talent acquisition team. She and recruiter Stephen Bishop work with our hiring managers from IT, legal, finance, compliance, etc., to support and address our talent needs. Rana and Stephen also make themselves available to the independent business line TA teams and leaders as needed.

Avamere will continue to navigate the shifting business climate, complicated by the ongoing pandemic, as well as other known and unknown challenges in the coming years. Our small, dedicated HR/TA team of experts continues to work tirelessly behind the scenes, supporting the people of Avamere, allowing us, by supporting you, to enhance the life of everyone Avamere serves.
