DEIB Goals in UKG

WHY DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING?

The research is clear that when people feel they are treated fairly, their uniqueness is appreciated, they have a sense of belonging, and they have a voice in decision making, then they feel included. Companies with inclusive cultures are 6x more innovative, 6x more likely to anticipate change and respond effectively, and 2x as likely to meet or exceed financial targets.

We also know the quality of our care is at its best when team members’ perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking are integrated to create an environment of inclusivity. Patients experience optimal outcomes when their personal history, identity, and experiences are respected and included in clinical decision making.

Introducing new UKG Goals for DEIB

We are excited to introduce new optional goals in UKG that are available for all employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to show and grow your passion for health and social equity! These goals reflect Infinity’s commitment to creating a workplace where every employee feels welcome and included:

• As a leader and employee, I contribute to the inclusivity of the workplace to create a community where everyone feels they belong.
• I provide optimal patient care by recognizing and working to address health inequities that impact my patients.

You can add one or both goals to your UKG account from the recommended list of goals. To see how to include recommended goals, checkout the YouTube video found here and below.

We hope that you will take on this important topic and reflect on the work you have done to create a more inclusive culture. Perhaps you are the team member who:

• Organized team potlucks
• Checked in with everyone else to find out how their weekend was
• Joined an employee resource group
• Participated/led an educational opportunity with your teammates
• Provided your patient with health education materials in their native language
• Advocated for interpreter services at your building

These are all ways you have helped to build an inclusive community and worked to provide equitable health care. We want to hear about these examples and experiences. Capturing your efforts in UKG is one way for you to share your efforts and highlight your amazing leadership in support of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. This is most successful when you mark your goals as visible to all.
