Our Family Is Crazy
It's Not Goodbye ...

Yet

Almost 18 years ago, I sat at a table being interviewed by Mike Billings and Bob Thomas for a new position at Infinity Rehab. This was an administrative position vs clinical, although at the time I did have my RN license. Little did I know this meeting would lead me to the best career of my life.

Having a healthcare background certainly proved useful as we developed the Human Resources Department from the ground up. I sought to understand rehab therapy and what therapists and other employees needed to be successful. I had the opportunity to learn and grow as an HR professional and use my skills to improve the experience of employees at Infinity Rehab. I was welcomed into the leadership team to assure we were collaborating on initiatives.

My anniversaries at Infinity Rehab started adding up. As did my birthdays! And now I find myself at the edge of retirement. Trust me, it comes sooner than you think.

My commitment to Infinity Rehab has been unwavering, and as part of that, we developed a succession plan to assure the HR Department would experience little disruption with my departure. At this time, I am now moving into part-time work as a Senior HR Advisor, and Derek Fenwick continues to lead the HR Department as the Senior Director of HR.

My primary hours will be 8-12, Monday through Friday. I remain available to help with individual employee issues and will also be working on special HR projects.

I step back from my role as Vice President of HR with sincere gratitude for the people I work with every day. So many of you have touched my heart as we have shared challenges and gained perspectives together. Never a dull moment in HR!
