Leaping Into Our Mission and Vision: An Exciting New Role at Infinity (x70!)
A Message from JoLynn Munro, President

As you know, we recently announced a new mission and vision for Infinity Rehab. The motivation behind this effort was simple: We realized that we must take a different approach to get the clinical and financial outcomes we need.

Today, I am excited to announce that we are ready to take a BIG leap into a different approach. Tomorrow we will be opening 70 salaried positions across the SNF division of our company for the role of senior therapist.

Senior therapists will provide direct patient care, spend time reviewing the care delivered by others, drive the frequency and duration of services delivered, and actively manage patient cases both on-site and remotely. In addition, they will take the initiative in communicating with all members of the interprofessional team and engage with a sense of urgency in all aspects of the clinical process. Ultimately, they will be responsible for making data-driven decisions to maximize patient outcomes while managing cost.

You might ask, “Why this role, and why now?” Here’s why.

For the past six years, Infinity clinicians have treated tens of thousands of patients, and the data collected shows us the ideal amount of therapy to deliver that will produce the best outcome. But knowing what to do is different than actually pulling it off. We have learned a lot during this time, including these key insights:

• More minutes of therapy does not always mean better outcomes.
• Classifying patients into “types” can assist us in predicting patient response to treatment and determining the right amount of care to deliver to our patients, considering our patients’ needs and the cost of care.
• Today, some rehab programs provide therapy beyond what is necessary; some rehab programs are not providing enough.
• When we provide the right amount and kind of therapy, we maximize the value of our services for our patients, our customers, and our employees.

By adding salaried senior therapists throughout the company, we are creating an expert network of clinical leaders in the field who will work in partnership with directors and staff clinicians to fully deliver on the promise of our Clinical Model in the PDPM environment.

Isn’t this exciting! This idea has been in the works for years, most recently in the form of a few senior therapists in the company participating in a pilot project that helped us confirm this is exactly what we need to take the next step toward our mission and vision.

We have long known that our company’s success hinges on our ability to deliver evidence-based, data-driven care that maximizes our patient outcomes while managing costs. This is what our patients and customers expect, and it is the solution to providing the best pay and benefits we can to our employees.

Had the world unfolded differently, perhaps this role would have launched closer to the start of PDPM in October 2019. But, instead, here we are, still amidst a worldwide pandemic. This experience has taught us just how agile we must become to grow and thrive, and there’s something that feels like this is all playing out exactly like it’s meant to be.

It’s only possible to share so much in an article like this, and surely you’re curious about more of the details. We’ve got those for you, and we’re ready to share. So join me on next week’s “Talk with JoLynn” call to hear more. Be certain to check out the job description once these positions are posted online tomorrow.

I invite you to join me in spreading the word about this new and exciting position! Tell all your friends about this leadership role that is open to the industry’s best PTs, OTs, and SLPs. Encourage your Infinity peers who would be perfect for this job to apply. Tell your former Infinity friends who left for another opportunity that it’s time to come back for this job. And if YOU are interested in this job, do not be shy! Let your director and area rehab director know, message Jessica Dunkley, Talent Acquisition Manager, about your interest, or submit your application to get your name in the mix for consideration. You can download the full job description below. We expect these unique jobs to be very exciting and will fill quickly, so don’t hesitate to make your interest known.

Together, we are setting the standard in rehabilitation for successful aging by delivering the best of science with the art of caring.
