90-Day Immersion Program

for New Hires
By: Brianne Salvati
Date: February 28, 2019

Ah, your search is over! You found the clinician you were looking for, you finally have a complete team, and you can start getting back to your normal day-to-day schedule of staffing, scheduling, billing, team development, and patient care (just to name a few).

Your new hire jumps in and soaks up the information and it’s smooth sailing. A couple weeks go by, and you give feedback and some pointers here and there. A couple more weeks go by, and you start to think “Why are the CORE measures not interpreted?” or “Why did I not receive notice the minutes were not met?”

This is an all too familiar experience among us – one that brings you back to re-training new hires, one that adds more back on to your already full plate.  Adding a new member to your team is an exciting experience, yet too often we encounter the letdown of a new hire “not working out.”

As part of our People Initiative to fulfill the irresistible culture we are building, Infinity has developed a new 90-day clinician immersion program. Immersion best describes our intentions and aspirations with employee engagement, values, and culture. The new process will help us achieve an employee experience that engages, accultures, and reinforces a new hire’s decision to join Infinity.

Whether you are a veteran DOR or a new hire yourself, the program provides you with resources, tools, and structure to coach a new hire. The training tools include a 90-day checklist with specific training items, including integration of our Clinical Champions, Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, clinical protocols, and daily operations. Ultipro will serve as the main source of communication with updating progress on a specific immersion program goal, along with an electronic version (or written if that is your preference) of the checklist that will be uploaded into Ultipro upon the new hire’s completion.

As with any new initiative, we have updated this checklist through trials and feedback to ensure competent, well-engaged employees are enthralled with Infinity culture upon completion of their on-boarding process.

New materials will be available March 1!
