Our first Shining Star this issue is Amy Krogman, SLP. She works at Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.

Amy is skilled in interpersonal skills and communication with nursing and other disciplines.

Amy is always willing to help other staff members and went above and beyond while I was on leave, ensuring the department ran smoothly all while never complaining about taking on the extra work.  The administrator and DNS were very complimentary of her upon my return regarding all that she did for the building and department.

This therapist expresses Infinity Rehab values in the following manner:

A culture of respect

Quality that is obvious

Teamwork, camaraderie, and fun!

Our second Shining Star this issue is Diane Gardner, PTA. She works at Avamere Rehabilitation of King City.

Diane specializes in lymphedema treatment. We have a patient at King City that needed treatment badly. We were not successful in getting her care outside of the facility. Diane has been coming to King City five days a week for several weeks to treat this patient. She also helped us before she started treating with setting up the plan. She has been communicating with the facility and the supervising PT on a consistent basis to maintain quality care and follow through.

I feel that she has gone above and beyond by committing to come here each day in addition to her caseload at The Pearl. She has come in on Saturdays if needed to complete the five sessions each week. She has done research on her own to be sure she is providing the right treatment. She has provided training to nursing and the restorative aide.

Diane has demonstrated a passion for the quality of people’s lives and also demonstrated Avamere’s value of enhancing every life we serve. I appreciate so much her commitment to helping us do all we can for this patient at King City.
