Shining Stars

3.24.22
By: Infinity Rehab
Date: March 24, 2022

Our first Shining Star this issue is Emily Cusick, PTA. Emily works at Bayview in Tacoma, Washington.

This therapist is particularly skilled at: clinical decision making and synthesizing patient presentation and symptoms. Emily makes very astute observations and follows up with appropriate clinical testing. She is adept at interpreting clinical findings in order to adjust her treatment plans and communicates findings to the rest of the IDT to ensure the patient receives the care they need.

I have seen this therapist “go the extra mile” by: encouraging patient self management and advocating for their care needs. Emily takes the time to develop individual home exercise programs and go over them repeatedly as needed so the patient is successful in completing the program on their own.

This therapist expresses and emulates the Infinity Rehab mission and vision in the following manner: providing high quality care using both the clinical model and her own clinical skills to modulate the treatment session to address each patient’s unique needs.

Our second Shining Star this issue is Sydney Zenzen, SLP. Sydney works at Mission Healthcare at Renton in Renton, Washington.

Going the extra mile and stepping up not only when needed, but recognizing needs before they are requested. This skill makes Sydney a wonderful addition to every team!

Sydney has been helping out and floating between Bellevue and Renton for the last few weeks. She has been wonderful at discovering issues before they become problems and helping to make sure SLP is ready to handle any situation. She has reached out on several occasions to offer insight and ensure that our patients are receiving the best care.

Sydney consistently demonstrates the best qualities of challenging the process, with a willingness to embrace change and by encouraging innovation in our field.
