Opportunity

The opportunity to gain new skills and experiences can increase employee motivation and job satisfaction. Research from Bersin by Deloitte revealed that the number one reason why people leave their jobs is a perceived inability of growth. Why is growth important to employees? These are inherent and universal need for humans to better themselves. People crave work experiences that challenge their minds. We become bored, distracted, and disengaged when work becomes routine and repetitive. An organization and its employees need to be skilled, especially in healthcare. Employees who are up-to-date with current evidence-based treatment produce improved performance and outcomes, decreased turnover, and improved patient satisfaction. Below are ways Infinity Rehab has, and continues, to produce an environment that fosters personal and professional growth.

Growth Opportunity is fueled by four main factors:

Training and support on the job: Employees desire a sense of making progress, achieving goals, and pushing ideas forward to improve personal and professional goals. An employer needs to provide employees support and training on the job. Infinity Rehab released the 90-day Immersion Program and DIG into Mentorship this year to promote new employee and new grad success on the job. These two programs stemmed in part from the success of the SLP clinical fellowship program offered for new SLP graduates. Infinity Rehab also provides the opportunity for growth in leadership and management through the Leadership Academy and the DORit (DOR in training) program. Early training and support on the job are the most important factors for long-term employee engagement and happiness.

Facilitated talent mobility: Our employees are our greatest asset. Infinity Rehab could not succeed without the intelligence, innovation, and contribution of you. Facilitated talent mobility is designed to develop employees in new directions and new skills. The director of professional development position exists to enhance the talents of every Infinity Rehab employees, and Ultipro is the avenue of talent discovery. Ultipro is more than a place to find remaining PTO hours. It is a place to show off skills and achievements. Comments to Ultipro goals and addition of skills and certification are examined regularly by the director of professional development. Understanding what matters to employees allows Infinity Rehab to facilitate employee talent and aid in employee success.

Self-directed, dynamic learning: It is important to allow employees to find solutions to their challenges rather than provide them a solution. Self-directed learning empowers employees to be creative when presented with a challenge. Often, the creative solution produces a better outcome as the employee understands the dilemma better than management. As mentioned previously, Ultipro is the place to show off challenges and creative solutions. CEU360 is also an avenue to gain knowledge when presented with a clinical question, and Clinical Champions is a program to assist in elevating your clinical talents.

High-impact learning culture: Infinity Rehab prides itself on delivering a high impact learning culture. Symposium, CEU360, Leadership Academy, DORit, Clinical Champions, and the clinical model are all programs that aid in coaching and allow self-learning. Learning is ingrained in Infinity Rehab’s values and processes. Because of this, our employees hold the expertise, knowledge, and performance that positively impact our business, but most importantly our patients’ lives.
